Terms and conditions of using photographs and other images featured on this site.

This site started as an offshoot of a hobby. I wanted a place to stuff my hockey pictures specifically. It's since grown to be a tiny community all its own. Part of that reason was the pictures I used to post from the games I attended. Because of that, deleting my pictures in May 2004 broke my heart about 8 million ways 'til Sunday.

It took awhile, but I've reconciled myself to the fact that as long as images are posted on the web, people will think it's their right to take them as they see fit. I hate that things are that way, because it's not fair nor is it right.  So, I've found a compromise between my two extremes- the images on these pages ("soveryobsessed.com" and "gallery.soveryobsessed.com") are licensed through a Creative Commons license, with some rights reserved. This means that you may post them on your own site, but you may not sell them, and you may not alter them in any way without my consent. Violation of the license is punishable by law.

All the images on the pages of soveryobsessed.com that are created and marked as property of soveryobsessed.com and marked with a copyright of Heather Creegan are covered under these terms.

All the images on this site are protected under United States copyright laws and marked with a copyright notice. Removal of the copyright from the images is an infringement of copyright law and it is a violation of the terms and conditions of using my pictures. 

To review:

By posting my pictures on your own site, you agree to the following:

1. You will not resell or redistribute the pictures in any way that means financial gain for you. People will be able to view the photographs for free.

2. You will not alter the pictures in any way without my prior written consent. "Altering" includes, but is not limited to: cropping, re-coloring, splicing my image with another image to create a whole new photograph, or the addition/deletion of elements of the picture.

3. You will not remove the copyright and "property of soveryobsessed.com" from the photo. Removal of the copyright notice is an infringement of US Copyright Law, and you recognize that violation of such is punishable by law.

4. You will be polite and respectful enough of my work, time and money that was involved in getting the pictures online to send me an e-mail letting me know where my pictures are posted or by leaving a comment somewhere on the site. I like to know where my images are hanging out.

5. You'll upload the image to your own server.

6. You'll let others know of the terms and conditions of using my images. This can be a link back to this page or a disclaimer passing on the word about using my pictures.
