Oh, I'm in a mood.

Oh, where to start, where to start. Do I share with you my rousing rendition of "The 12 Things I Hate about Chiarelli," sung to the melodious tune of "The 12 Days of Christmas"? Do I rant and rant and threaten and rant some more about how Chiarelli traded Nate DiCasmirro, and then had the ...stones (to put it delicately) to assign Manny Fernandez to Providence, where he is going to sully up my pristine, pretty ice (He's going to need more than divine intervention from the heavens above if he mucks around with my pBs' standings and record. In...

Oh, and last night makes me 6-0. If I were any cooler, I'd have to wear shades.

TRANSACTIONS Previously, the Matts Lashoff and Hunwick were both recalled to Boston, and both were returned to Providence in time for the home opener. Phew. I don't know what I would do if I wasn't able to get mad at Lashoff's usually-streaky defensive play. (He made some excellent plays last night, though. Everyone was being a good goalie, which was convenient for Rask.) Rask was recalled from Providence today because -- shocker -- Manny is still broken. Maybe now it's not just me who is seeing the ludicrosity of trading a fantastic, talented prospect (Petr Kalus) for a goaltender who...

Krejci sent down, Nokelainen called up.

So, no Jason Spezza for the game tonight (I am beginning to feel like this is a personal slight, Jason. Why must you be hurt almost every time I plan to go to the FleetCenter TDBNGarden to see your team live?), and no Dave Krejci- he was sent to Providence last night and Petteri Nokelainen was recalled in his place. Providence's team has gelled together quickly and is doing very well, Chiarelli. Don't. Mess. That. Up. Mike Brown, on recall to Providence because Jordan is on recall to Boston, played for the pBs in net last night. It was his...

Jordan Sigalet recalled to Boston.

Manny tweaked his knee (yes, that one). I'd say I'm shocked, but it'd be a lie. I am, however, excited for Jordan. -- Last Tuesday, when I was at Celebrity Bartending, my mother left me a voicemail message. Some tickets to the UML game on Friday night had been made available to her. Was I interested in some hockey? Well, of course. This is why I found myself flying at very unsafe speeds up highways to take me from Providence to Lowell's Tsongas Arena on Friday night. I was never into hockey when I was actually in college, and I...

Photo Friday XVI: Oh, like you didn't see this one coming from a mile away.

First things first: Rask and Lashoff have been sent to Providence. Mike Brown earned the win (4-3) against Springfield in Providence's pre-season opener. Nothing against Mike, but I was shocked to learn that it wasn't Tuukka in net. I've been steeling myself all summer for the inevitable 95/5 split for the goalie tandem in Providence, and this threw me for a loop. Messing with my head already, Gordon? Isn't the season kind of too young for that? Moving on: This week's Photo Friday is the first-ever repeat of a player, and it is where you learn that sometimes, I am...

Boston trims roster; adds vice-president.

Today, Boston sent Martins Karsums and Tuukka Rask down to Providence. They also named Cam Neely VP. Talk about starting at the top....

News you can use (or something).

So, yesterday, Boston dropped forward Mikko Lehtonen, defenseman Jonathan Sigalet and center Vladimir Sobotka from camp. Jonathan and Vladimir were assigned to Providence -- and NO, I am NOT UPSET that was AFTER Providence's camp dismissed for the day. Why would I be upset about that? -- and Mikko will return to Espoo of the Finnish Elite League. So, TODAY, my least-favorite day in recent memory, mostly because today is not yesterday and today is not this past Saturday and today is NOT next Saturday, TODAY Boston decided to ice the cake and trade away Mark Mowers (to Anaheim; in...

Boston makes more cuts.

Boston, they made some more cuts today. This is exciting for me because it means that I will not be seeing just four or five guys skate drills at pB camp tomorrow. Guys sent to Providence today: Byron Bitz, Sean Curry, Nate DiCasmirro, Matt Hendricks, Adam McQuaid, Pascal Pelletier, Wacey Rabbit, Jordan Sigalet, and T.J. Trevelyan. They join Dwayne Zinger, Jamison Orr, Alexandre Imbeault, Mark Tobin, B.J. Crum, Bill LeClerc, Steve MacIntyre, Daryl Boyle, Reid Jorgensen, Chris Collins, and Mike Brown. The number of boys I will recognize at pB camp: 12 of 20. That's more than 50%. I suppose...

What's that saying about three strikes?

Ways to stay on my good side: Shower me with money and/or diamonds. Let me sleep in. Tolerate my insane addiction to trashy tv/movies. Self-fulfilling tank of gas. (self-explanatory) Understand my need to browse clearance racks. Ways to stay on my bad side: Cut me off in traffic. Park in a fire lane. Remain ignorant on the finer uses of an apostrophe. Remain staunch in your belief that I am wrong and you are right- the sky IS green. Be Peter Chiarelli. We've been apart for awhile, internets. In that time we've spent apart, I've traveled and seen things, I've...

A gallimaufry of goings-on

A couple things: 1. Stanislav Chistov has officially defected over to Russia. I am not excited. Also, does this mean Photo Friday is cursed? Of the 12 (un)willing participants, 25% have been bounced from the roster since taking part: Petr Kalus, Hannu Toivonen, and Stanislav Chistov. Coincidentally, those were the players I was ASKED to post. I'm no longer taking requests or listening to you people. 2. Providence has released their promotions schedule, and excitingly, they've spread the promotions out over the WHOLE season (that was my biggest beef with last year's- it was too concentrated at the end of...

Photo Friday X: Diiiiiiiiiiiiiii-Caaaaaaz!

Nate DiCasmirro is the choice for the tenth edition of Photo Friday. He was chosen in part because I'm so excited he'll be back this coming season (hurrah for the foresight to sign him for two years, Boston), and in part because my roommate, she loves her some Nate in all its hockeyed forms (Thompson, DiCasmirro), and it was her birthday this week. Without further ado: ... and yes, I've noticed that the PF pictures have gotten extensively more numerous as the Fridays have progressed. When I'm perusing many many directories of the zillion and five-eighths images that I have...
