Wednesday pastiche.

So I get all, "Internets, I'm going to write to you EVERY (week) DAYYYYY this month!" ... and then I disappear. I'm sorry internets. Sometimes life has a way of getting in the way of my hockey addiction.

After going to Portland and back on Saturday, I went to Boston on Sunday, because my boys (the Sens, this time) were in town. Unlike Saturday's game, though, Sunday's was a bit of a snoozefest. Providence and Portland both skated and skated hard for 60 minutes on Saturday. On Sunday, not so much with the 60 minutes, at least on Ottawa's part. I was pretty impressed with Boston's overall play.

Dear Sens fans sitting in the luxury box above sections 15/16;
I love you. Let's get married. All of us. It's legal somewhere, I'm sure.

Love,
Heather

And this is what happened: I ignored Boston at warmups, because well, I can see them just about whenever I want. Ottawa, however, is a bit trickier for me to see in person on demand. There's a photo album of warmups, but I warn you: it views like a flipbook of Patrick Eaves, with slight commercial breaks for Antoine Vermette, Luke Richardson, Christophe Schubert, Andrej Meszaros, and Dany Heatley. Yes, I AM lost when Jason Spezza is out on IR, why do you ask? After ignoring Boston, I proceeded to sit illegally in the loge and root for the Sens, mostly because I couldn't hope for a tie. I am not proud, nor am I apologetic. Sometimes, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. Besides, Ottawa is like, incredible. ... Not that Sunday's game showcased their mad hockey skillz, though. However, they are currently 13-1, so bad game or not, they're doing something right.

Links to the galleries for Portland and Ottawa are on the sidebar. I'll caption them tomorrow, because right now, I need sleep. The time change has messed my internal clock up so thoroughly, I'm not quite sure what day it is.

Next Wednesday is the pBs home opener. I'm kind of excited, because it doesn't feel like hockey season's truly begun without games at the Dunk. I've missed it more than I care to admit, and I resent hockey starting up and hogging so much of my time more than I care to admit. I'm a walking conundrum.

Furthermore, Chiarelli, don't think it didn't escape my notice that you returned Jordan to Providence (thanks! we're going to need him, because hi, he's good, and it only makes sense to have a fantastic team such as Providence's backed by not one, but two winning goaltenders) and recalled Rask. Also, don't think it didn't escape my notice that Rask is predicted to get a start in Boston soon. And don't think I don't hate you for your ridiculous transactions and decisions like this. And I am not kidding, either: Providence is hot this year, and if you do anything - ANYTHING - to mess with that, revenge will be sought, and that revenge will be wearing pointy-toed shoes when it comes to kick you. I'm just saying... choose your transactions involving my pBs with care.

EDIT, 11/14:

Dear Zack:
Actually, no I didn't. I've been rooting for the Sens since the first season post-lockout, because the lockout enabled me to become more familiar with far more players than I had been.

The fact that the Sens are also like, good, doesn't hurt their case with me, either.

Love,
Heather
