... because I totally want in on the cash. And also, why didn't you tell me about the pool? I would have totally thrown Photo Friday's schedule (oh yes, pictures are picked now through the end of August already. Someone needs to get out of the house more!) for whomever would have given me the biggest percentage of their winnings. And lest you think I'm that kind of girl, I totally would have thrown it for coffee or a stable for my pony, too. We could have worked something out if you didn't want to share the dollars. I am flexible!
So, y'all knew it was just a matter of time, that I would post a Sigalet as a Photo Friday. You knew I couldn't go all summer without showing some love. I mean, I can't not. I am, after all, only human, and also the evil genius behind those sweatshirts from two seasons ago. And the Sigalets! They are so charmingly irresistable! I just can't quit them, no matter how hard I try.
If you know me really well, you'll figure that it's glaringly obvious that I picked Jordan this week because this weekend is his ShutOut MS fundraiser. In British Columbia.** Far on the other side of the continent where crazy people who make him and his brother puffy-paint their signatures on articles of clothing can't afford to go, mostly because dude: it's summer. Now is the time those crazy kinds of people hobknob with other people- the non-hockey kinds of people. Some of them are what you might call "family," some are what you might call "friends," all what I call, "people who know better than to call me from September through May."
You can visit Jordan's website for more information here.
I know his fundraiser will do well; his baby brother wouldn't have it any other way. HEY! Speaking of fundraisers, have you donated yet?
Without further tangential banter (your beloved author is hopped up on the cold meds! fun for all!), I present to you, Jordan Sigalet:
New mask, debuted at the last playoff game.
This may or may not be my desktop at work.
I love the falling-off P.
MISCELLANY: Boston signed Shawn Thornton (no relation to Joe) -- he used to play for Portland, and he used to piss me off then. Can't wait to see how I feel about him now! Hockey's Future draft review re: the Bruins, is here. Jay Leach signed with Tampa Bay. There were some heavy hints from reliable sources at the Dunk that this was going to happen. Oh well. Can I nominate our new captain? I have some ideas...
Blah blah blah, I AM STILL REALLY MAD AT YOU, CHIARELLI.
The prospect camp is next week in Wilmington, and you can find the roster here. Names from Providence that make me think about going: Chris Collins, Martins Karsums, Dave Krejci, Matt Lashoff, Levi Nelson, Wacey Rabbit(t), and TJ Trevelyan. I have a mild interest in checking out Hunwick and our newest draftees, but I'll be really, brutally honest with you guys: there are plans afoot for some good times in Boston, with people coming in from far-flung exotic places like New Jersey, and I'm not so sure I want to interrupt my scheduled programming for hockey. My dearest prospects: You're welcome to join the festivities. Please don't hate. I'll see you in September. Be good. All my love, Heather
Stay out of trouble, internets, and stay tuned, because next week's Photo Friday breaks all the rules.

Melissa said: Ugh. Why did you post so many words so early in the morning?
I need some coffee and my glasses.
