November 1, 2006
I read a lot, internets. I always have. When I was a little kid, I was kicked out of the Pollard Memorial Library's (of Lowell, MA) children's section one summer because I'd read all they'd had to offer. I was eight.
Last night in my numerous non-hockey blog travels, I was reminded that November is NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month. I've never had a desire to write a novel, so I've never paid it much attention. As an alternative for us who don't aspire to write a novel, Ms. Kennedy at fussy.org has proposed a NaBloPoMo- National Blog Posting Month. While I didn't start this site to keep myself writing- I started it in the theory that having some place else to talk about the hockey would keep my non-hockey friends from dipping my hands in pans of warm water while I slept, which hasn't worked at all because all I've done to them is talk about the hockey MORE- I have noticed that I haven't been talking to you nearly as much as I used to. And I won't lie, internets- I feel a little guilty about that.
This is the month that I'm going to try to change that, because I can be very chatty. I am going to participate in NaBloPoMo. I am going to try awfully hard to post something, every day, and I'm going to keep it hockey-related. I suspect that as the month wanes, I will be digging deep for stories. Your job in this anticipated car wreck, other then to read, is to comment and encourage me. So, I ask you, outside of current events, what other hockey stories do you want to hear from me?
Besides, it's either this, or taking part in Movember, but I can't grow a decent mustache.
