I'll be back after I make my computer bow to my will.

Last night, when I said to Mark Stuart that I was bummed he was being recalled by Boston, that I had enjoyed having him in Providence, I wasn't actually serious about keeping him in Providence for ever 'n ever. But yet, for some reason, we have a Boston management team that is listening to me, because after practice today, Mark was sent back down to Providence.

Hey, Boston, since you're listening? I really want a pony.

EDIT, 10.24pm: Internets, it has taken this long for me to get my computer to bow to my will. Lesson learned: opposable thumbs and the ability to think outside the box are not always considered advantages.

Moving on, Boston lost to Florida, 3-2, tonight. I didn't watch the game because the NHL made the mistake of scheduling it on Prison Break Monday. I make no apologies for choosing the way I did. Boston's two goals came from Glen Murray (assists from Patrice Bergeron and Zdeno Chara, Brad Stuart and Marc Savard).

The Bruins Blog at the Globe says that Hannu Toivonen will be starting Friday's game against Hartford at the Dunk, which means one of the three goaltenders down there is going to be taking a seat in the stands. And if Hannu's healthy again, it also means that we have five goaltenders between Boston and Providence. And this means that I'm back to stressing about what's going on in Chiarelli's head. I wasn't thrilled with the acquisition of Sauve, and I wasn't thrilled about the numbers he came into the organization with this season, but after watching him play on Friday, I don't dislike him. Granted, that's not saying that I'm all over the moon about him, either, but I could get accustomed to having him in Providence for the duration, provided it doesn't place any of the other goaltenders I like in jeopardy.

Cracked Ice is proving to be an interesting read. I am only about four chapters in - Bettman has just been hired as the Commissioner of the NHL - and already, I've got notes going for some kind of book report for you. If my 11th grade English teacher ever got wind of this voluntary book report for the internets, she'd come and demand that one on Summer of My German Soldier that I never did, because I am opposed to making students read from a selected list of very boring books over the summer and then tell you about what they read. Summer is for trashy reading and for clearing one's mind, not book reports on literature.

Great new power Heather! Oh, could you please ESP the powers that be and explain to them that "yes" we would like an unneccessary ZOOM when Patrice's hemet comes off during play. I swear to God there are no women camera operators? Otherwise they's zoom in on #37!

Good luck with the new powers!

Cinde, I'll take that request too ;)

God, I'd love to operate that camera. I'd guarantee that there'd be many unnecessary zoom-ins.
