Lists make me happy.

So, now that I've spent the better part of an hour bookmarking hockey blogs I didn't know existed (it was like Christmas, getting all these gifts of new things to read!) because I followed link after link after link because Mike Chen had the chutzpah to start a "5 Weird Things About Me" meme to break up the hockeyless August, I will now get around to responding to my tag from Sidearm Delivery listing five weird things about myself:

1. When I was two, I fell headfirst into the rockers of a rocking chair and gashed open my forehead, right above my eye. My eyebrows are uneven because one of them hides the scar. Lesson learned: scuff up the bottoms of your new MaryJanes before running around on carpeting.
2. I put aluminum foil over the windows in the front of my apartment last week to keep the sun out when the temperature soared into the triple digits (for I am air conditioner-less and every bit helps), and I have since left it there even though the temperatures dropped because it protects against freezer burn and keeps the aliens from reading my mind. And also, I'm too lazy to remove it quite yet.
3. I dig doing home improvement projects, though I hate getting my hands dirty. There's talk of drywall and carpet and painting flying about between myself and my new roommate, and my oh my, it's like smut for my eyes!
4. I've driven over 100,000 miles in the past four years. A lot of those miles were commuting, but even more were trips to concerts, hockey games, and Canada, and they were all put there because I am a bad passenger- I was in a head-on car collision in 1998, and since then, I cannot relax enough to let someone else drive.
5. I have spent the summer teaching myself how to sew on a sewing machine. I have made two Princess dresses (Snow White and Cinderella), and a purse, which led to intoxicating fantasies about one day being on a level with Coach and Louis Vitton, only like, with way prettier purses.
