Chris Madden signed with Bridgeport. One of the few Bruins-related posts I have seen that has no asterisk by Jon's name, stating any wishy-washy feelings about how we have to wait and see if he can return to the NHL (Have you seen Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back? Y'know the end of the movie where they are knocking on doors with a huge printout of chat rooms? Yeah. That's where I'm at on this Jonathan Girard subject right now. It is d-a-n-g-e-r-o-u-s territory. I will delve into it further when I am less cantankerous). Jaci has links to two pictures of Joe Thornton tossing the first pitch at a Sox game. Is it just me, or in the first picture, does his hair look molded to his head a la a Ken doll? Oh, it's just me? Ok.
James Mirtle has the sixth Carnival of the NHL up. Phil Pilmar will be hosting the seventh, and should be posting details for being a part of it later.
And on a happier note, you should go over to the Net Files and congratulate Ben; he has accepted a job that will have him working with the Atlanta Thrashers. How cool is THAT? (By the way, I strongly believe it was the lovely redesign that convinced the people in charge that he was The Perfect Candidate.)
Speaking of redesigns and prettiness, I'm tweaking a few things around here; you'll possibly see a few changes this week, but nothing major. I'm still not sure how I feel about the navigation bar on the top, and I think a nice iced coffee will help me clarify my feelings...

dlee said: dangit.... Jessica beat me to my comment about Thornton throwing like a girl.
And no, it's not just you. His hair looks funny in that first picture.
I like the navigation bar. I hadn't noticed your store before. Good stuff.
Heather said: Dangit, I wish I'd known he was going to throw a pitch so I could have watched; as someone who decidedly throws like a girl, I would have liked to compare and contrast his technique to mine. Plus, I enjoy poking fun at the captain at all costs. Sigh. My life is pain!
Caitie said: Oh...iced coffee would be so good tomorrow when I get my wisdom teeth out. If you'd like to send one to my house, make it a toasted almond, light with 3 Splendas :)
Haha, Ken. I never had a Ken doll. Only Barbies.
Heather said: I had a Ken doll, but I broke his leg off when I was very young. Then I got a Kevin doll, which was SUPPOSED to be Skipper's boyfriend or some such thing. Oh, the skeletons in my Barbie playing closet...
I have never had my wisdom teeth out. Good luck. Get good painkillers.
stacy said: it's almost two weeks later since my wisdom teeth was out... and it's still sore...and yeah, good painkillers.
and i never had barbie dolls. my sister did...we had tonka trucks.
as for joe...haha...his hair...wow.
Jessica said: I'm not sure you're going to want anything COLD after getting your wisdom teeth out, Caitie, but good luck!
And I throw like a girl, too. But I have an excuse ;) This is why I play hockey and not baseball!
Heather said: (Probably why Joe plays hockey, too!)
Jessica said: Hmm... could be :)
Caitie said: I just found out I can barely take a sip of water without wincing in pain.
Oh...my painkillers! I've begun to worship those beauties :)
