Providence lost, 6-3, to Portland on Sunday, and Boston lost yesterday to the NYR, 5-2. The Providence game was a whole lot of "almost," and the Boston game was... well, I don't know, because in a hunger-forced delirium, I forgot about it until reminded. Jenni and I watched a period and a half before we gave up, disappointed, and continued on with our Harry Potter movie-a-thon, glad we hadn't driven to New York like we'd originally planned to do.
In other news, I have a question- why is it that Boston seems to have the only ice that is no longer thanking fans? Have Boston NHL fans officially been thanked enough? I noticed it was missing from the ice after the roadtrip where Disney On Ice came to town. I figure they had to re-lay the ice, but that does not make me feel any better about it. Does your NHL team still have it written there, so very lovingly, so very italicized, and so very blue? Have I finally lost my mind?
(That last question is rhetorical.)

Better question is, why did Toronto have "Thank you Leafs fans" instead of the "Thank you fans" that every other city had.
Bah.
Ricky said: Heather! You are the best! You are the coolest! Thank you so so so much for the pictures of Big Danny McGillis. They are so good. He is one of my favorites and so are you. Now I have a picture of Big Danny in all of his different sweaters.
I had a good time in San Jose. I got to see Joe but just for a few minutes. He was with his cousin Scott. Joe is still Jumbo sized. Did you know the sun shines all the time in California? I got to swim a lot.
Is your finger better? Did you have a nice birthday? My mom did. Aunt Julie helped me make her a cake. We put a teal shark on it since we were in San Jose. I hope you had a nice birthday.
Ricky said: Oops, Aunt Julie hit post too soon. I just wanted to say you are the best ever Heather! Thank you again for the pictures and the cool SVO card. That was really neat. I will always read your site and when I get my own someday I will tell other people to read it too. I will give you a link, ok?

Ricky: I'm glad you liked it. Did you hear that the New Jersey Devils are going to buy the Lowell Lock Monsters? That means that if Danny stays with the NJD, and they keep him in the minors, he's going to be hanging out in my backyard! (That's a lot of ifs, though.) I had a very fun birthday. I am glad your mom had one too! I like birthdays, even though a lot of people tell me that I'll stop liking them eventually. I think those people are wrong. Any reason to celebrate is a good one, and I think that my birthday is one of the best reasons ever. I am happy to hear you had fun in CA! I hope to go there one day. The furthest west I have ever been was a trip to Arizona and Colorado, and that is when I was very young- younger then you are now. I don't remember much of it, except for seeing the big Rockies. My finger is much better; thank you for asking! I kind of miss wearing the Care Bear bandaid, though.
