Clear day.

Yesterday was Clear Day in the AHL. Clear Day is kind of like a trade deadline. By 3pm, teams have to declare the 22 players who will be the final rosters for the final five weeks of the season and the playoffs. Only those 22 players are eligible to compete for the Calder Cup unless there is a circumstance of recall (that NHL, messing everything up), or injury. The lists were made public at 10am today, and Providence's is as follows:

Goaltenders Jordan Sigalet and Brian Eklund; Forwards Eric Healey, Tyler Redenbach, Nathan Robinson, Pascal Pelletier, Ben Walter, Eric Nickulas, Jeremy Reich, Ben Guite, Jason MacDonald, Nate Thompson, David Lundbohm and Yan Stastny; Defenseman Jay Leach, Chris Dyment, Jonathan Sigalet, Mark Stuart, Sean Curry, Michael Schutte, Ryan Gaucher and Scott Ford.

Names not on that list: Garret Stroshein, Shawn McEachern, and Bryan Schmidt.

Providence didn't really do anything prior to the deadline ('cept sign Bryan Schmidt to an ATO and Ryan Gaucher to a PTO, but that was last Saturday), and neither did Lowell, but Manchester was busy. They've loaned Brad Smyth to Hartford in exchange for defenseman Joe Rullier (he was on Manchester last year), and assigned Brendan Bernakevitch to the Houston Aeros in exchange for Alexander Daigle. Fun Fact: Providence only plays Hartford and Manchester 2 more times each this season. You can find all 27 Clear Day lists here.

The pictures are up from this past weekend - 240ish pictures of pBruinsy goodness, including some of the two new guys on tryout agreements. [Friday's gallery] [ Saturday's gallery] [ Sunday's gallery] This past weekend was also a big one for Jason MacDonald- he played his 650th AHL game on Saturday, and scored his 100th AHL goal on Sunday. Congratulations to him. Chris Dyment will return to action on Mar. 31. He could have come back on Mar 29, but he opted for a home game instead. Chris rocks.

That's all for now.
