ThursdayFridaySaturday

So, it's been an interesting past day and a half, to say the very least. I was at the Boston/Montreal game on Thursday. I really don't have much to say on the game. This is because I was tired and because I missed most of the second period. However, I did particularly enjoy Patrice's pass to Braddy Boyes for the empty-net goal. That was hot stuff.

From warmups:

I love when people love m'boys.

Last night I ended up in Providence - which is no real surprise, because, c'mon now. This is me we are talking about. I would perhaps move to Providence if it didn't place a whole state between me and my nieces. The game was really good. I particularly enjoyed the lead we had up until the final minute or so of the third period. Eric Healey was whistled for holding with 2:47 left to go. So, of COURSE Albany tied it up on the power play, and of COURSE we couldn't score during the overtime period, so of COURSE we had to go to a shoot-out. Because yesterday, in whole, was a day designed to unsuccessfully break my spirits (except for the lady who asked if I was Heather from the internet. That was pretty awesome. HI!). So, why NOT go to a shootout? Jordan held all of Albany's first four shooters (including Mogilny. Yeah. That Mogilny.) scoreless, but on the fifth round, David Clarkson beat him. Albany's goaltender - Frank Doyle - held all five of Providence's shooters scoreless.

Misc notes: Tim Thomas is doing really well with Boston (7-2-2), and Jordan's doing well in Providence in his absence (494 minutes played (1073 all season), and is 5-3-1 since Tim cleared waivers to go to Boston. Pascal Pelletier was nominated for the Rookie of the Month award for January (lost out to Houston's Patrick O'Sullivan). Pascal's been in 22 games so far this season (he was called up Dec 16 from the ECHL). He has 19 points (6 goals, 13 assists).

Tomorrow is Boston vs Carolina. Tonight Providence is in Bridgeport.

Gee, think you missed the second period because we sent, oh, about 150 texts to each other? Haha.

That may or may not have had something to do with it.
