The AHL ASG and Boston vs. the Canadiens.

Canada won the AHL All-Star game, 9-4. This is because I was not there. And before you're all, "Geez, Heather, you really ARE full of yourself! Canada cannot win and lose games based on YOUR presence, seeing as how you DON'T PLAY HOCKEY," hear me out. From 1999-2004, Canada had won the AHL All-Star game. Last year - the only year I've ever gone to anything All-Star related and the most recent year where the talent level in the AHL was above average because of the lockout - Canada lost the All-Star game. They'd been leading in the first period. My friends and I had helped ourselves to seats behind the Canadian bench for the second and third periods, and then Canada lost. Coincidence? I think not. This year, there was no me behind the bench, and look at what happens- Canada wins. What does this mean? This means I'm one step closer to eventual world domination, as I can obviously control the outcomes of hockey games. (For further proof, see also: Providence @ Springfield on Jan. 28, Boston vs Ottawa on Jan 5. More games can be provided upon request.)

If you missed it, you can hear me on the radio here. I'm about 40 minutes in.

No one proposed to Patrice during his online chat with NHL fans, so I lost the bet. Oh well. You can read the transcript here.

Tonight is Montreal @ Boston, and it's one of the games I got myself a ticket to last September. I haven't been to Boston since last month when Los Angeles was here, and it feels a little weird to be heading to Boston instead of Providence, but I love riding the subway, so I'm excited. Josh Langfield will be playing tonight, as well as Glen Murray (G-MUZZ!). Tim Thomas is rumored to get the start (TIM! I haven't seen him in so long. I miss him.), and Brian Leetch will be a game-time decision. Hannu skated today, but his ankle is still aggravated. I miss him, too. G-unit (Ben Guite to the rest of you) was sent back down to Providence, which both makes me happy (I've missed him in Providence) but also sad (because I wanted him to stay with Boston). Huet will be in net for the Canadiens tonight, because Jose Theodore's been having a tough time of it lately.

NEHJ has a Bruins notebook on Andrew Alberts, who played a forward in Monday's game against Ottawa. That Andrew. He's so crafty.

Heather did you have to use the last line because I can come up with a lot to say about Andrew being crafty!! hehe!! Good for him though that they are throwing him into the mix of things!

Hit the "post" button just once! Sheesh! I know craftiness and puffy paint makes you excited, but just once!

Nice job on the show. Anytime we can squeeze some P-Bruins talk into an online show, it's a thing of beauty.

I think we definitely got spoiled last year with all the great players in the A. The P-Bruins were a skilled team last year that had loads of toughness. This year, they're more of a lunch pail group. Hopefully they keep going to work for another few months.

And kudos, the shootout sucks.

Hey Heather did you get to see Big Danny McGillis play against the baby B's last night? I bet he played good. Uncle Brad told me he was the third star ast night. I wanted to go but Uncle Brad couldn't get out of work on time to go. Maybe next week we can go because they are playing again!

I did! I'd forgotten that Dan was with Albany. Jess noticed first. We cheered loudly for him, even though we wanted the pBruins to win. We saw Alexander Moligny, too. It was a good game, even though the pBruins lost in a shootout. That made me sad. It's the first Friday game in a long time that I've seen them lose. But that's ok. They'll do better tonight.

That was nice of you and Jess to cheer for Big Danny! He is one of my favorite players. I wish he could play for the baby b's instead of the rats. Did you ask him to teach you to skate? I sent him a letter asking him about it. I can't wait to see him play again.

We didn't get to talk to him; we waited for Providence after the game and talked to Jordan Sigalet and Mike Schutte. I was afraid if I went to talk to Danny I'd cry and beg him to come back to the Bruins. That's just unflattering, so I didn't. I hope he writes you back!

Me too Heather. I like to write letters to the players, but I know they get busy and can't write back. And I already asked Big Danny to come back to the Bruins, he said he can't unless they trade for him. Business you know.

I wish Boston would trade for Dan. He did good things when he was here.
