Can you imagine how good those pictures will look to you when you're really awake! And thanks for taking the Thornton pics, I'm sure a few of us will appreciate them. Hee! :)

At the intra-squad game I was telling a friend about my distaste for Raycroft and a crazy lady followed me into the bathroom and threatened to beat me up because of it. It was just too fantastic.

And hooray for coherent convos w/ Jon!

I love body-swallowing grins. They make me all happy inside, especially if they're from a hockey player.

I seriously can't wait till the 5th of October. I'm taking that night off of work and sitting in front of my TV with food and drink at my fingertips so I won't miss a minute of the goodness that is hockey.

Oh yeah, and I saw a license plate today that said "HCYGIRL" I wanted to rip it off really badly but the thought of getting arrested didn't appeal to me.

Threatened to BEAT YOU UP? What, was she going to whip out some brass knuckles right there and go to town? Should have sent her my way. I like amusement.

That's a very sad Dallman stat. I counted at least two pucks at me on Friday alone.

Agree with the excitement level for Raycroft. When I heard some clapping, I was all, "that's nice, clapping for Bruins" until I realized it was Raycroft. And no, I didn't talk to MOC about Nick again.

All the air conditioning that was NOT at any of the subway stops we waited at was at South Station - FREEZING!!! Nearly as cold as the rink in Wilmington -

Training camp - worth the wait for a whole year - and even better when you can get a pic of your favorite player in khakis and black tee shirt - bless his little F/C heart!!!

Oct 5 won't get here quick enough.

BEAT YOU UP, eh?
What is with all of the threatened violence this weekend?
People. It's sports. It's supposed to be about enjoying yourself. And you know what they say about opinions and certain orifices that will remain unnamed.
Fans should be free to dislike whoever they dislike. As crazy as it may sound to some, they should ALSO be able to like whoever they feel they should like, be they male or female.
I'm sorry for preaching, I just ended up being witness to quite of bit of ugliness while I was there that really surprised me. After all, we are all "on the same team" here, right?

Apart from the strange negativity I saw on display I also had a marvelous time and met LOTS of cool people. Mostly Heather's readers who are all a ton of fun. Got to meet Ellen and spent a couple of days with one of my new favoritest people in the world, Sherry. (I miss you Sherry!)
We had a very giggly lunch after fanfest with the always lovely Heidi, Rachel, and Jess. It was good times.

Now here's MY favorite story from my trip.
We're sitting on the train, packed in like roasted peanuts, and I notice a couple across from us looking at Heather. The lady puts her hand to her mouth and is whispering something to her companion.
My brow crosses at this because though I am a peace loving creature, I don't go for any negativity being sent my Heather's way. [Yes, I said MY Heather because I can think that if I like. She is the bestest and if I want her call her MY Heather, I can.]
The couple continues to whipser and I can see that Heather notices too. Just when I think H is gonna ask if she can help them with something, the lady says, "Are you Heather?"
I see her turn BRIGHT RED, "Yes." she covers her mouth with her hand shyly, to hide her smile. She's modest, my Heather.
"I love your site and your pictures" the lady beams.
Well, aren't I a putz? How was I to know I was riding the train with a celebrity?

Thanks for everything, You!

oh jenni i miss you too!!! it was so cool to hang out with you and heather. it totally made the trip from NJ worth it. here we were oogling famous people when our very own famous person was being oogled herself. nothing like being in the presence of greatness!

i'm still so very proud of her for being able to chat it up with jon and not faint. the boy gave her two, count them...two, full body smiles.....it doesn't get better than that.
